Le Grand Pressigny is a small town right in the middle of France. Today it is a region of relaxation, of peace and quiet, rich in history and natural heritage.
If Le Grand Pressigny is famous, it is not for its good life, its good food, and its old stone buildings but for its prehistory and its flint. Not the dark grey stuff that you find anywhere, but a light brown glass that comes in enormous masses. In late Neolithic times this flint was converted into knife blades and shipped all over Europe.
